Our experience in underground tunnelling, processing plant assembly, electromechanical assembly, infrastructure, roads and ancillary works are evidence of our strength in the mining sector. We protect the environment and prioritise the safety of our personnel in every process. To this end we have unified procedures for Quality and Workplace Health and Safety Management, adapting them to international standards as well as committing to continuous improvement. We care for and help with the economic and social development of each of the regions in which we work. In line with this strategy, we support the growth of local companies for the manufacture of materials for use specifically in mining. Our Safety Management System promotes sustained improvement for our operations and has achieved notable results, reflected in the Safety Award granted by Goldcorp in relation to the Cerro Negro Project. This recognition from the multinational corporation not only rewards the mine for its higher safety levels, but also highlights those projects that have achieved the greatest levels of development and operation, based on criteria such as the level of internal accident investigation, composition of the safety team, commitment to safety by the mine and project senior management and the number of incidents reported. Cerro Negro obtained the top prize for its excellent performance in all these categories during 2013.
